What is stored, and why

Every Altitude keeps as little as it can. This page says what that is.

Pages anyone can read

These public pages set no cookies and use no trackers or analytics. The fonts are served from this site, so no other company sees your visit.

Your account

If a leader adds you to a group, your account holds your name, a username, your group, your role (member or leader), and a scrambled form of your password that cannot be turned back into the password. It holds no email address, phone number or photo. If a leader pauses your account, it also holds when the pause ends and the reason the leader gave, which only leaders can see.

When a leader removes you, you can no longer sign in, and you are taken out of the group along with your progress.

Answers and notes

Answers, notes and highlights are saved on the phone or computer you type them on. They are not sent to Every Altitude.

Cookies

Signing in sets one cookie, which keeps you signed in for up to 14 days. A TV set up for a session gets a cookie that lasts 14 hours. There are no other cookies.

Live sessions

While a leader runs a session, the app stores which part the group is on, and how many people are following and answering, so the leader can see the room. For each member it notes which levels of question they have answered, but never what they wrote.

Where it is kept

The site and its accounts are hosted by Cloudflare.

Questions

Ask your group leader, who can see, change, pause or remove your account.
